    Wiring problem....

I bought this GS1100G as a non-runner with no headlamp or brake switch ....they seemed to have been cut with pliers .. for no apparent reason.

When I bought the bike I cannot recall if both the turn signals worked

but after taking the headlamp cowl off and reconnecting the obvious connectors.. now I find that all turn signals light up on the ignition switch(very dimly)............... the if I test them... right flashes fine, while left is unchanged (still dim ).... if I try left is goes out......

there is a but....... seems my LH controller looks like this (identical to the one on my GN 250... photo to follow)

could be bad ground connections or wrong size bulbs fitted

Just remember, an opinion without 3.14 is just an onion!

PO of my bike had cut the turn signal wires off because he was going to turn the bike into a chopper, maybe your PO was going to do the same.

Anyway, my turn signals didn't work at all until I went about cleaning up all the plugs and bullet connectors, so you might give that a shot.

            Fixed it!!

Turns out I never paid enough attention when I disconnected the terminals when pulled off the old headlamp cowl, the front indicators seems to be a rear pair (I think as they have 2 wires, black and gray) and before I was hooking up both wires as it seemed the obvious thing to do. Sorted now! fixed by only using the black and forgetting about the grey and it is gounded by a ring terminal...... Headlamp has now power next, onwards and upwards with the multi meter
