    Correct dwell setting for GS550

    Anybody have it? Any help would be tremendously appreciated.

    If your bike uses points, the dwell angle is great enough that you won't have a problem with the coils never reaching full saturation; even at extremely high engine rpms. If it has electronic ignition, the dwell angle is not adjustable.

    Set the points properly and forget about dwell angle.

    I'm guessing around 200 degrees??

      I saw it in the manual the other day, something like 190 degrees I think. Agreed, it is not critical on ths engine. Just set them for a proper gap, adjust the timing as accurately as you can and ride.
