Made a mount bracket for the brain box, made 2 brackets for the coils, and turned them 90 deg so the boots face outwards so they install in the stock location, and rerouted the main harness and some of the smaller harnesses between the coils to keep them outa the way and clean it up.
Box is wired, coils are wired, turned on the key and on/off switch and the red light on the box comes on and off as it should during the reset mode when power is applied as stated in the instructions.
As per the instructions, I have the green wire from the box yet to attach to the tach -input wire on the bikes harness. After going through the service manual more than a few times, I can't find this wire/connection anywhere. There's a great section in the manual that explains connections and diagnostics for everything else in the cluster BUT the tach!
Where do I find this input wire, and what color is it?
Second, the crank trigger wouldn't fit in the oem hole, and we took a dremmel tool and cleaned up the case a bit, but I'm sure it shouldn't be that tight. After carefully grinding a bit, I have it to the point where it can be moved for adjustment, (barely) and I plan on taking a bit more out as I'm not happy with it yet.
Has anyone else had this issue? Can I use some emery cloth on the trigger plate instead of the engine case? Will it bugger the trigger?
These are the last 2 issues I have, and I haven't found any postings on the site regarding similar questions.
Thanks guys
