    Rectifier/regulator?

    I'm going to take a big leap here and guess that this thing on the left side of my '82 1100e that looks like a heat sink is my R/R?

    What's that white plastic box next to it? Fuse box?
    1982 GS1100E V&H "SS" exhaust, APE pods, 1150 oil cooler, 140 speedo, 99.3 rear wheel HP, black engine, '83 red

    2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

      Yup replace it with a SERIES Shindengen R/R SH-775 and if you realy want to get fancy get posplayrs solid sate power box. Check out his sig for al the good details.

        The Solid State Power Box replaces the fuse box?

          Stuff I've done to my bike:dancing: 1100E front end with new Sonic springs, 1100E swing arm conversion with new Progressive shocks installed, 530 sprockets/chain conversion, new SS brake lines, new brake pads. New SS fasteners through out. Rebuilt carbs, new EBC clutch springs and horn installed. New paint. Motor runs strong.

            Dang that is the same size RR that is on GSXR Ed's bike, it's itty bitty.
            My old burned out OEM RRs are bigger then that.
