If your kids don't have enough to eat then get the bike running and sell it. Sorry for being so blunt, but that is basically it. There is not much choice about fixing it, there is only a choice about whether you can afford that.

You also know that life turns on a dime, so park it until you can afford a new stator and SH-775 and you will be able to do that. In the mean time you have plenty of time to do all the required maintenance. When the money comes it will be a pitzacake.http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...ine=1440711157'78 GS1000E, Dyna-S ignition, Dyna Green Coils, K&N pods, Delkevic SS 4-1 exhaust, Dynojet Stage 3 jet kit, Russell SS Brake Lines, Progressive suspension, Compu-Fire series Regulator 55402 and Advmonster cree LED headlight conversion.

I'll be installing one from a GS1100GK on mine.
I checked my local bike salvage place and they dont have a statorfor the 78gs1000e . But if that fits I can ask him ifhe has a stator for the gs1100 gk

You can almost buy a new one for that amount.

Other than having only three terminals instead of five, yes it will fit.Last edited by rustybronco; 05-28-2014, 09:32 AM.
