    33 year old glue gave up and the magnets decided they wanted to spin around.

          Are you sure the glue was 33 years old? I've opened a few things to find 'Oh no, not again' stickers in there. Mainly speedometers on older cars it must be said.

            That's outrageous- I might be motivated to pull my starter motor and check for similar defect;on second thought, those carbs are in the way,so I guess that I'll just wait and not go looking for trouble.

                dang I have said that before. and changed the subject to reserve lighting box and to stator plug and to everything else on my Suzuki that left me stranded.
