Electric and kick start won't work

About three weeks ago I left my 79 gs550 at my grandparents, it started no problem electric and kick start. I finally went back yesterday to pick it up and the electric start wouldn't work at all. I thought it might have been the battery so I tried to use my kick start and it wouldn't catch at all. So in one last attempt I bump started it and the bike finally fired up. From there I traveled two hours back to my home and i didn't have a problem. After two hours though the electric start and kick start Still weren't working. I have no idea what it could be and I was wondering if anybody had any ideas?

Any chance you have measured the battery voltage?

Sounds like a bad battery to me too.

I'm guessing it's a lead acid battery. What is the electrolyte level ?
