    Balky Blinker

Do flashers fail gradually? On my 1100GL, the turn signals don't work until I have ridden about 10 miles (maybe longer on a cold day.) The bike is charging well. I'm wondering if the weak link is the flasher, the bulb/socket, the left-hand multi-switch or wiring somewhere.

I find working on my motorcycle mildly therapeutic when I'm not cursing.

I would start with a voltage check at the flasher unit. Yes, you said "the bike is charging well", but there are multiple connections between the "charging" stuff and the flasher unit.

If you don't have full voltage at the flasher, check the voltage at the SIGNALS fuse (both sides), then start checking all the connections.
