Hey so a bit of an odd problem. Last posted on here about a charging problem, new regulator is in the mail. Went to disconnect the old one and found that the plug or connection between the regulator and harness refuses to come apart. Looks like the PO has tried in the past as well without success. It almost looks melted or possibly corroded. The other red/black connectors come apart fine, but not the white one on the right side (see pic). I'm not even sure what to call these things or how to replace it. Any help would be much appreciated!Tags: None

You might want to read up about charging system problems on GS bikes. Doing so will explain to you how Suzuki's convoluted wiring methodology causes excessive resistance in the wiring which results in melted connectors and damaged wires.
Simple answer: order up a SH775 R/R, not a shunt type, and rewire the charging system. You can get a good used SH775 for about $40 shipped off ebay.
Good luckEd

Looks like you might be needing a new connector. I had a couple like that when I first got my bike. Look up Vintage Connections. I believe they will have what you are looking for. You'll need the connector block and the male and female connectors for the ends of the wire. You will also need the open barrel crimping tool for the wire connectors.https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B9zH8w8Civs8ejBJWjdvYi1LNTg&resourcekey=0-hlJp0Yc4K_VN9g7Jyy4KQg&authuser=fussbucket_1%40msn.com&usp=drive_fs

I wouldn't even bother with the connector. After the stator wires are fed directly into the R/R like they should be, and you get a SH775, then that connector will only carry one wire, the red power wire going to the fuse box.Ed
