    Aiming headlights

I have a 1982 GS650G. Does anyone know the proper settings for aiming the headlight?

My high and low beams throw dangerously short, in my opinion (I only ride during the day). I'd like to get them aimed properly though, just for safety's sake.

I haven't taken exact measurements, but I'd guess my low beam ends no more than 15ft in front of the bike. Maybe 20-25 for the high beam.

    Thanks!

Just grab it and put it where you want it.
They are moveable up and down so you can adjust for passengers or different loads.

Life is too short to ride an L.

Go out at night, drive around, put it where you want it.

I do that ritual to every single bike I own. Very few are already set where they need to be. Usually too low, which is expected since nothing ever vibrates UPhill on it's own...
