What is this noise?
Okay Im sure this is a basic question but here goes anyways. When I start my bike I obviously have to pull the choke a bit at first. I usually can ease off the choke slowly but if I go off choke too quickly I hear lots of racket in the crankcase. It is usually happening as the RPM are low and as I bring the RPM up either with throttle or choke it smooths out. Once the bike is warm and choke is off it idles perfectly and the noise stops completely. What is causing this? Is it the clutch or something?Tags: None

Hi,
Your bike is well known for its "clutch rattle". Sometimes new springs will fix it. Sometimes you have to get it welded. You should also check to be sure the clutch hub nut is secure. See the clutch section of my little website.
Thank you for your indulgence,
