One of my old GS's had a leak that was coming from a crankcase screw. The case sealer had failed in the area of the screw in question and oil ran down the screw hole and out. I didn't want to split the cases so I found a copper washer and threw that on the screw in question, one of the screws holding the crank bearings, and torqued it down to resolve the problem. Reason for sharing this story is to highlight the need to find the source of the leak. Like the others have said it's most likely the crank seal, but don't assume too much.Ed
