    Side Stand Issue

    Hi
I have just completed a restoration of an 1980 GS1000S.
This has had a Harris frame conversion which has adjusted the height of the bike, and the original side stand is not long enough!
Would anyone have any ideas on who may be able to supply a longer side stand or what may fit?
Current side stand is 8.5 inches and I need one that is at least 11 inches long.

    Cheers

Sounds like it's time to visit the local welding shop.

Be careful about specifying how much you need added, though.

Put blocks of wood under the stand until you have a comfortable lean, then you will know for sure.
