    Washer sizes in parts fiche?

I know bolt sizes are in the part number. (numbers after hypen -08307 8mm 30mm long tensile strength 7)

    Are washer sizes?

I believe they are. Not always perfectly accurate, but pretty close.

As an example, the washers that go on the top shock mount have a size of 12.5 x 24 x 3.2 for the inner washer and 10.5 x 24 x 2.3 for the outer washer. The part numbers are 09160-12082 and 09160-10093. The fractional part of the inner diameter is not shown in the part number.

By the way, I am not so sure about your description of the bolt part numbers. I have never seen a definitive description, but the "7" at the end of your example might be the type of bolt, the finish or even the supplier, rather than the tensile strength. If it is the tensile strength, it's in code. I just checked a couple of numbers for my 850, the bolts that hold the valve cover end in 7, the (stronger) bolts that hold the cams to the head end in 6.

      Thanks for the clarification.

After posting the question, searching old threads I found a difference of opinion on the last number. One I found said strength add another said finish.

Your example seems to indicate the problem.
