    Oil Change Help.

Hi just unloaded my new 1978 GS1000 from the back of my truck. I am going to change the oil and drain gas etc, but I must be blind because I can't find the oil filter. Any help is appreciated, BTW this site is awesome.

    Thank a lot,
    Tim

Lower Front of engine, round cover three nuts holding it on, it's behind it with an o-ring seal... http://www.alpha-sports.com/suzuki_parts.htm

No disrespect meant, but you need at least an owners manual or better yet a repair manual.

I must admit that when I first got my Suzuki I had to look twice to find the oil filter. On my Yamaha it stuck out like a sore thumb had heat fins and the whole deal. Its different if you are used to other bikes.

Tim, in the mean time you can always look up schematics on the Internet to see where things are located. Bikebandit.com has them and is very handy.
