    explain this one!!

Painting my rear caliper and puttin' new pads on (GS1100) last night and it got late so I left the hose open and allowed three master cylinder bowls of mineral spirits run through the system then allowed three master cylinder bowls new brake fluid run through. When system was purged I put the top on the master cylinder and went in for the night. This morning got up early to put caliper on..........looks great, no problems........hook it up and it won't bleed. (I made sure that the caliper was totally clean and operating and it is).
Now, no matter what I do (unhook the line from the caliper) it won't @#$#%$##@ing bleed. What is the DEAL???

I had a dikkens if a time getting the master cylinder on my 450 to prime up properly; very difficult to get the air out. Had to inject fluid in through the outlet port and forcing it through backwords. Keep at it and you will eventually get it.

You might want to invest in a Mity-Vac brake bleeding tool, $35 or so from Sears. It'll suck fluid through from the bottom of the system.

Air lock, try opening the bleeder valve 1/2 to 1 turn put your finger over the bleeder hole, pump up the brake lever a few times and hold it down, remove finger from bleeder (while squeezing brake) cover hole in the bleeder release lever and repeat...
or fill master with fluid and leave bleeder open and let it gravity bleed till fluid comes out (it may take a while) and then bleed as normal, had to do that on my sons yamaha.
