Regulator/Rectifier Problem

1982 GS650GLZ...Running well before the end of the season. I am in the process of rebuilding this bike over the winter, and as such, it is completely torn down. I have the R/R unit out, and thought I would follow the service manual, and check the R/R to the specs in said manual. the issue is that I have no continuity between any of the leads on my R/R unit...Where there should be resistance, there is none. It also shows an open circuit with the lead reversed, just to check the manual. Any Ideas?

BTW, I am using a Fluke DMM (T5-1000). It is auto-ranging, but new for Christmas, so its possible that I may not be using it quite right. My other multimeter is not digital, and very difficult to use for a proper resistance reading.

Ok, well, I just dug a little deeper, and found that my Fluke must not be able to measure diodes, or it does not scale down to the level I need it to, bacause my old amprobe analog Multimeter seems to work.

That's what it looked like in the manual, no diode function.

If you invest another $2.99, you can get the Harbor Freight Cen-Tech 7 Function Multi-Tester which has a diode measurement function.
