Buggered screws

so, the two remaining set screws i can probably drill out
the top screw on the oil pump, i can drill the head off

now, the bottom screw on the oil pump... uhm it's in the very corner... i can't really get to it with the drill
i don't have a dremel tool, so cutting a slot in the head is not an option - plus i cant really get to it with the impact driver either as the cases stand in the way

suggestions please

With all of these, you need to heat the screw to soften the thread locking compound, and then they'll come out easily.

I use a propane torch, although there's probably a safer way.

You can use an extension on your impact.
Just a standard 3/8" extension should work...if your impact is anything like mine.
That way the impact itself will be outside of the case.

Take a flat punch to the head of the screw to restore the original hole shape. then bash it with a impact driver, heat ect. as directed.

You have anything resembling a Sears store in the area?

Their tool selection includes a Damaged Bolt/Nut Remover. Not cheap, but effective.
I works like an external ez-out, it grabs the outside of the object, so no drilling is necessary.

the combination of the two above worked the charm and all screws are out now - so simple, and i've even done it before, but forgot how i did it

I got mine thru RJR Cool Tools www.rjrtools.com. I have nothing to do with this company but the tools are reasonable and shipping is free. i have the screwdrivers, but not the special impact driver bits. mind you, size 3 ISO standard seems to fit just nicely to these particular screws

My suggestion too
