    FH-011AA R/R install questions

I need some help with hooking up a FH-011AA R/R on my 1983 GS1100GK. The only place this R/R is mentioned in the forums is in the replacement list. Here are my questions:
    1. Which connector is the positive and which is the negative?
    2. Will I need to change any fuses or any other electrical part since this is a 50 amp R/R?
    3. This R/R is huge, will placing it where the horns are be a problem due to the proximity to the engine and exhaust? I thought I could attach to the bottom of the battery box but I think the swing arm will hit it.
    4. Can I plug new wires into the present R/R connector and run these wires to the new R/R?
Any Help will be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

The yellows are the stator connections, black is negative and red is positive. (the same for yours)

    Shouldn't be a problem

    Yes.

Thanks for answering my questions so fast. The picture is a great help.
What is the gray stuff in the connections in the picture and will it be necessary for me to do the same.
      Thanks for your help

Not sure what he used, but it is recommended to solder the wires to the connections in the r/r, then seal it all. Some will say 'use RTV silicone', but that has to be done carefully, as silicone contains acetic acid, which does not help the electrical connections any.
