Ok now,I scored this head (not from TM off a mate that new the seller) now my bike is a 83 X Jap import 750 Kat... there for it is detuned from the NZ new bikes.
Does anyone know how the cams in the new head differ and is it a Suzuki performance part?
Most of all will they make any difference to my bike if I put them in???

He states it has high performance Kat cams. I guess you need to ask him about them.

Yeah but the bit I was wondering was, will the cams on there own make a difference or would I need to sort the timing and carbs out aswell?
I think... the X Jap bikes have smaller carbs, do you know the size of the std carbs?

Most likely 32mm carbs on U.S. and Canadian spec bikes. Most of the world got 90hp engines while the Japanese bikes made 77hp. Check this site out. Nothing specific there but interesting. http://www.suzukicycles.org/All-Suzu...ki_models.html
Have you tried to find a forum dedicated to the old Kats?

He probably doesn't know Duncan by his real name. That would be Dink. He might know some specifics or be able to point you in the right direction.
