    Adjustable levers?

I'm been looking around for a while for adjustable levers that will work for a 1982 GS 1100E. I'd like something akin to CRG's shortys, but I'm not sure what will work with my setup, which is currently stock. Obviously, the stock lever perches aren't going to work with the aftermarket stuff, so I'm assuming I need to locate alternates. Anyone have any experience here, or ideas? I'll probably be going with a bar end mirror, so I don't need to worry about mounting mirrors to the perches. I should mention I'll also be installing a Laverda adjustable clubman bar as well. Here's what it looks like:

I really like the idea of being able to adjust nearly every aspect of my riding position/ergonomics. I'll be combining these with a set of adjustable rear-sets, and a Corbin seat.

Just pick up some mounts from a modern sportbike and fit them to your bars. Most modern bars are all the same size so it shouldn't be a problem.

Modern sportbike if you're not bothered about the look or the loss of your mirror mounts.

Other than that... take the lever out & "adjust" it to where you want it with a big hammer, that's what I did!

That's more or less what I thought. I'm shooting for a modern/retro look in the long term, so it'll work out aesthetically, and I'm planning on bar-end mirrors, so mirrors are still retained. The only other real obstacle I can see is the master cylinder for the brakes. I notice the reservoir on my GS is part of the lever assembly, but on most modern sportbikes, it seems to be a separate unit. I plan on changing brake lines to stainless steel as well, so custom plumbing's going to happen regardless. Will it be a fairly straight-forward swap? I also have the anti-dive unit, but it'll be long gone/block/bypassed by the time I get to doing stainless lines.

The Bandit has an integrated reservoir and it should fit no problem. You can retain a somewhat classic look but get modern parts.

I use all late model GSXR stuff & love it. Just have to figure out the mirror mounts but that's what my buddy GregB is for! Love ya Greg!!! Ray.

Hmmm, looking at exploded parts diagrams, looks like the late nineties GSXR stuff is more what I'm looking for. Mirror mounts won't be necessary. Ray, do you have to do any fancy plumbing for the brake master, or does it plumb right into the stock system? Looks like the clutch should be pretty easy. I'll be buying aftermarket levers, so all I'm really concerned about are the perches.

what you got to watch is the angle of the handlebars. if you got upright, or straight bars the gsxr ones may be tricky as the gsxr bars are quite slanted in angle.when bolted on the master cylinder may be at a funny angle!

Pay attention! I use ALL the GSXR stuff! They have a REMOTE master cylinder reservoir! The bar angle has no effect if you can tilt the reservoir to where you want it. The brake lines from the master are no issue either. Ray.

Oi, what year 1100E??? If its an 82-83, those bars are gonna smack the hell out of your tank...

That's just how they're pictured. They're supposed to be quite adjustable. I've got measurements and angles from the distribuitor. and I'm going to mock something up out of PVC pipe before I make any purchases. They can also be flipped upside down and used that way.

Thanks for the info Ray, the plumbing issue was my only real concern. I was leaning towards a remote reservoir anyways, since it would let me mount the lever without regard to reservoir angle.
