Any 18in rear wheel for shafty 1981 GS1000?

    Hello all!

I just bought a 1981 gs1000 with shaft drive and I am wondering if there are any 18inch rear wheels that fit this bike.

    Thank you for your help

    Nope.

Why do you think you want an 18?

Wanted to see if possible to run dual 18s and a few mods for a sportier look.

Also any wire spoke wheels fit a shaft drive gs1000? From maybe a cruiser suzuki model like madura or other?

      thanks

The early Yamaha XS triples have a similar style of bolt on splined driving dog. Some of them used 18's on the rear.
If you're prepared to do some machining and adapting, anything's possible.

          Again, Nope.

The smaller Madura has a drum brake. I forget what the issue is with the larger one, might be cast wheels.
