Want to replace handlebar switches on an 81 GS450t.

I'm in the process of going through my bike and am curious if other model handlebar switches hook into the 81 GS450t wiring harness without modifications? I'm going to cafe it and would like to replace these switches with NOS ones, and if I can search other bike models that would be great! I'm not thrilled with the look of the ones on it now and would like options.

Are your current switches stock?? All these critters have similar looking stock switches, (though the connections are often different) so if you don't like the look, you got to get creative and do some dicing and splicing with something you like.

Have a look at GS500 switches - I can't say they're a direct pin-for-pin swap-in, but they were in production for a very long time and you'll find them cheaply, low mileage.
