    Engine needs larger Carbs!!

Mikuni VM44 Round Slide 44mm Carburetor Hey guys anyone run these 44 mm round slides on their engines? Pretty cheap compared to the lectron carbs.

30 years ago they were the hot ticket. Lectrons are the only way to go if you are carbureted.

Ray - are Lectrons any use for the road?

      How about the Mikuni Multijets?

      Greetings

Lectrons are great for drag bikes or street race bikes but not good for street riding. They idle at 1500 rpm or higher as they have no idle circuits. I ride my small tire bike up to the line & back to the pits after every run without issue though. If I do a REALLY hot street race type 1570 motor but want to actually ride it on the street, I would use 4 big Keihin flat slide dirt bike carbs, just to have the idle circuits.

The 4 big mikunis will work great!! you have to commit to tuning them in and buy the correct pilot jets, don't forget there are 3 styles that fit into the bodies - and frustration will set in if you have the wrong type.
