    Too much free time

I've decided to repost this because if you're like me, you will click on a new message rather than an old one.
So.......Please refer to the post that starts w/ "Too much free time".
It will tell you what I am trying to do. Put together an electric shifter.
    I think it's very do-able.

    Thanks, everyone

The ones i've seen are a pull type. I guess you could use 2 for up and down shifting.

What would be nice is a push pull soleniod, that would solve a lot of problems

      Actually Jake,
It's for dragracing only so you shift down the regular way. It's only for those lightnight up-shifts. Can anyone help??

What about those "door popper" solenoids they use in street rods to shave the door handles....

They might work, are they strong enough to shift the bike do you think?
