Will oil cooled GSXR 750 cams fit my 81 GS750 engine?

I can get some oil cooled cams pretty cheap (from 91-92). They should work, right? Are they any better than what I have? And will used cams destroy my followers or is it OK to mix and match, assuming the cam lobes are in good shape?

I would be using these in a high compression (10-1) 750 cc motor. The head ports will be cleaned up with a bead blasted intake and polished exhaust tracts. Forged pistons, billet clutch basket, GSXR 4 into 2 exhaust with race cans, and carbs TBD.....

    Thanks all....

Ok.... If the Grand Sage of the resources doesn't know, maybe I should just buy them and try, huh...

If I'm going to do that, what should I do and not do regarding putting used cams in my engine? Would it be OK, or would it eat up my followers in short order?

        Any tips help,
        Tim

I talked this one over with somebody a while back.....I have some 1990 gxr cams as well and was wondering if I could put them in my 82 750.

          We never figured it out....unfortunatley

          Someone's gotta know.....
