    6 year project resurrection

i got this bike when i was 16 it was in pieces so i set out to put it back together it originally had the 8 valve motor but it was in pieces and missing alot so i found a 16 valve motor to put in it the bike use to be an old drag bike so ima keep it that way i had it running and driving then i moved due the military so it has been sitting in the garage for about 4 years untouched i got tired of seeing it sitting there so it time to resurrect it and get it going again right now i am in converting it to efi using a megasquirt and homemade intake manifold the manifold isnt complete yet i still got to put in the injector bungs and make a fuel rail the bike is getting twin turbos the turbos i have are super small so i figure why not if it doesnt work well ill just convert it to single all the work i have done myself after i get it running ima pull it apart again and get everything powder coated and painted i want it to look nice again ill keep this updated as i progress with the project

It sounds like it will be a cool bike and it looks like you havve a good starting point. WHy did you decide to convert to EFI? Just out of curiousity.

my carburetors were shot and since i am turboing it i would like to have better control over fuel and timing so efi with the megasquirt is a cheap easy way to go

The good thing is that you will have lots of road to open it up out there well once you get off base that is unless you want to give the SPs something to get excited over

be aware that the 80-82 750 engines have a problem spinning the rod bearings even when stock.
adding a turbo or nitrous will guarantee rod bearing failure.
the 77-79 8 valve 750(kicker) engines on the other hand loves to be abused.
                      good luck with your project.
