Certainly a tough choice whether to ramp up production to fullfill orders quicker or hold the line and risk p&ssing off potential customers who want product nowfuture owner of some year and displacement GS bike,as yet unclaimed and unowned.

Did the white this morning. While the wind that's been blowing the last 2 days took a bit of a rest.It isn't perfect but then I'm not Larry http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/member.php?u=16374 either After colour sanding and clear she should be a very good 10 and maybe 5 foot bike.

Since the 750 is in a bit of a holding pattern I did some 1000 work:
Put in the "new" harness.Had to move the plate for the 83 750 fusebox down to clear the side cover. Then I found this out http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum...d.php?t=211189
Put these in to,will wire them with a relay from Rustybronco, thanks again Dale.Looking at the wiring again I REALLY don't know why the other one burned down.Happens again I'm thinking I'll part the bike out.All the hassle getting this harness has just not been worth the heartache.Last edited by Guest; 07-13-2013, 08:13 PM.

Well I think I MIGHT know what happened to the first harness. Was messing around with the horns and harness and I found a frame ground, had a .Went in to check the old harness, there's 2 grounds!!.Thinking either I put one in the wrong place of missed one entirely.I put both to the frame this time.Think I'm on the right track here?Last edited by Guest; 07-14-2013, 03:31 PM.

The only reason I can think of for that harness melting was a current carrying wire somehow or another got shorted to ground.
I'll look through this thread later on tonight or tomorrow morning to refresh my memory. Mot too tired right now after spending 7-1/2 hours running 230V out to the garage.
