I got the last customers bike done early today..so I got the right hand caliper out. I took it apart and cleaned it inside and out. wire brushed all parts down and got the old paint off. I then repainted all the parts with black caliper paint. I got a NEW piston seal and a mint condition piston and built you a new caliper. Only things you will need are the dust boots and the little o rings that go on the carrier pins. You got a new bleeder valve and a like new banjo bolt as well. I will install the new piston seal and snap pics of everything before i reassemble it.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
1978 GS 1000 E, 1979 GS 1000 S, 1973 Yamaha TX 750, 1977 Kawasaki KZ 650B1, 1975 Honda GL1000 Goldwing, 1983 CB 650SC Nighthawk, 1972 Honda CB 350K4, 74 Honda CB550
NEVER SNEAK UP ON A SLEEPING DOG..NOT EVEN YOUR OWN.
I would rather trust my bike to a "QUACK" that KNOWS how to fix it rather than a book worm that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix it.

Go to bikebandit.com and look at the front braker caliper schematic..youll need numbers 3, 5 and 10..just a few bucks for the new stuff..Duplicolor black caliper paint..be sure to use caliper paint because its formulated to withstand the brake fluid. Regular paint will run right off if brake fluid gets on it.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

I will leave the repainting of the rotor hubs to you!!! I threw the original piston that came out of this caliper away..was rusted and pitted extremely bad. I had the regulator up at 110 PSI line pressure to blow the piston out of the housing! And it wasnt moving very fast even at that pressure! When it popped out it made a good loud pop.Last edited by chuck hahn; 05-29-2011, 12:48 AM.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
