I didnt have a lot of time today but did manage to calibrate the sending unit for the gas guage. Im getting good at this..only took me 5 times to get it to read right. I went to the gas station and got exactly 2.5 gallons in the can and tweeked the contact in there till it reads right on the 1/2 tank line . So the gas guage is pretty well reliable and accurate as is possible.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Well finally the day has come to report that other than the ignition cover and the right side heat shield she is all done. I didnt put the new tires on her yet either. But for all intensive purposes of reassembly and mechanicing the bike is completed. Still need the good seat cover too. Im not gonna put the seat grab rail on till i get the seat cover on. Hope she will be an awesome bike for whoever buys it when i sell it. Soon as i get the seat and the few minor details done I plan on listing her for sale. As for new rubber, I think whoever buys it can just put whatever tires of their choice on her. That way the new owner can have what they want as far as tires go. So what do you guys think of her??? Many kodos, by the way, to Nvr2old ( Larry Pearson ) for the paint work.

Fantastic looking bike Chuck. She's going be a beauty for someone that's for sure. You think she's going to be hard to put a price tag on?Rob

I saw it was missing, just didn't get the time to ask if you hadn't received it for some reason or another. I assume the clutch lever worked okay?
sit tight on that grab rail. I might have something in the works.

Yes Dale it worked fine. I just stripped the emblem and painted it. Its in the oven baking. I gotta crash for work tonight , so it will be on the bike in the afternoon tomorrow. And Rob,,, I got a figure in my head already. But until i get the seat right and the ignition cover Im not gonna list it. Not my style to list something thats still in need of a few doodads.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)

Chuck,
It sure does look nice,
a little naked without that grab rail though.
So, what's the status of your Pit Replica Skunk seat?
Heard where over 500 people died in Thailand because of the flooding.sigpic

Steve..the latest from pit replica is that the shop is flooded in nearly 1 meter of water and they arent able to produce anything. So its anyones guess what the time frame will be now......Frank, yup i got the carbs for the Hondamatic ready to go. In fact, I already swapped the skunk to the shed and have the Honda on the patio.MY BIKES..1977 GS 750 B, 1978 GS 1000 C (X2)
