I had an auto mechanic friend come by last night. He said
I was doing things right by marking everything I take off. He wished me luck.
I think he was a little sarcastic.
Anyway the PO was an idiot! Fasteners torqued to tight or to loose. Wires painted over with black paint. Some friends asked when I thought it would run, It might be a little longer than I hoped.
One of the screws for the starter relay was behind the fuse box. That can't be right?
This is why you take photos of the wiring, white/green into white blue? I'll be checking the wiring diagram.

looks like some connectors have been replaced down the road somewhere. Good luck. just takes a little time but I'm sure you'll figure it out. Not sure why some wires dont match up colorwise unless some stuff was bypassed or something.

Good luck with all of this as one T owner to another. How fun it will be to watch it develop as I finally finished mine. Granted, no where near your start. I posted my shop book and owners manual on Cliff's site. I have some parts in a box, such as transmission parts, covers and other things. If I see you are making good progress I would be willing to contribute as I bought the parts from others just to have them. Thanks for posting as we are cheering you on!!!Hondas

Hey Yasser
Thanks for the encouragement. Things are going well. Bike's all apart. Now to get to the engine. I haven't started my parts list yet but will let you know if there's something you might be able to help me with.
I like your paint job. Do you have some larger photos of your T. Some of the aluminum parts on my bike are definitively going to be painted.

Here I hope this helps you justify putting too much money and time into the rust and dreams.
I have cleaned it up since the photos. Currently it has case guards and highway pegs and I have had a rear rack on it and a windsheild as my mood dictates, but you get the idea.

Yasser, that is one fine looking 750T you have there.
Perhaps BigRock could print a copy to hang on the wall for encouragement during the resurrection.

Tracey B. Had that orange t that everyone drooled over and cloudbreakmd was quite OCD over his 83 also (my screen saver for awhile). Inspiration begets inspiration right? I am just so impressed with where BigRock is starting from - wow, symptoms of Asain Bike Flu for sure!Hondas

He said it has a bad bearing in #2 so I guess the cases are being split. Probably a good thing considering its had a tough life, the other bearings might be iffy. Or other unforseen problems.

I defiantly have the GS obsession. I've spending allot of time on the bike. Engines apart and it's worse than I had hoped. The crank rod journal is damaged and as I measure it is a little under size. I took it right away to the machine shop and he gave me hope. The crank has to be sent to CA for welding, grinding and nitrate hardening. About $400. I don't care. The build is still on!
The PO didn't believe in gaskets I guess?
I found this in the oil screen.
This is whats left of the rod bearing
When I saw this journal I almost cried. The rod journal on the left should look like the one on the right. @%&*$#@

Yasser thanks for the photos. Love the paint. Love the engine. I might be coping that engine look party because of the corrosion damage.
Thanks.

The black engine is one of the 82 vs 83 differences. Also you have 83 shaped directionals that it appears someone painted black. What color is your chain guard? What is the top mph number on your speedo?Hondas

Great stuff here lately (except that crank that is...)
BigRock: You found that broken bolt in the oil pick-up screen?
