I hope you saved the rear fender and taillight cos they would sell for a good price on ebay.

haha no the beer wasnt empty we were to busy ripping parts off! it really only took us about an hour to do that. and ya i still have all the parts...aside from the air box...we got kinda angry with it and it didnt make it out in one peace. quick question if i do air pod and open up the exhaust what kinda jets should i run? am i ok with stock just a retune??

Aw crap I see you other post on the bobber job on the L model. Sorry if I came off as a smart ass.

You are doing a nice cautious job on the bike. It looks pretty damned clean so you are in luck.

          Anyway keep the pics coming.

Do a search on here and you'll find dozens of threads about the subject. Most folks will tell you that you will need to rejet and recommend getting a Dynojet setup. Just remember it's all relative to your bike though and you'll have to spend lots of time in tests and trials.

OH man killing the airbox eh?
If you pull the rear wheel and remove the big assed bolts from the cushion lever then the box slips right out.

As it is you need a box cause there is not pods that fit.

I have encouraged folks to use the front bit of the box as a manifold to use with a K&N filter but hey folks that have these bikes is weird.

Acid rust spot on the swingarm clearly visible!
Damn that is such a fine example. Is it low mileage as well?

Oh and do not rape the paint on this thing it is just too fine to **** with.

Dynojet still has a kit for these bikes. K&N has a filter that goes in the stock airbox even in a stage 3 kit so pods are pointless anyway.

AS long as you have enough of the airbox to seat the filter to you can rig up a modified intake.

Of course riding in a torrent of rain would be messed up but hey?!

Haha ya we kinda raped the air box ( I didn't see your post about keeping the front half) ya there is some rust on the swing arm but that's really about it. 10k on the factory cluster I'm the 3rd owner and I guess the first guy was older and didn't do much to it/ride it. And the second owner let it sit for almost 2 years. So I've got a good sized check list befor I trust riding it
