Hey 67camaro, Might I suggest you take a few photos of your GS550 and send them off to the administrator to be considered for the BOM.

Thanks, it was a lot of fun. I hope to find some time soon to get my old Honda back in the same shape.

                      Before:
This bike has always showed well in pictures, but it wasn't as nice in this pic as when I got it. There were paint chips, oil leaks, tires worn out, pipes blued, turn signals didn't self cancel, carb problems, brake problems, temp gauge bad, oil pressure sending unit bad, chain worn out, exhaust covers missing, idiot lights not working properly, battery needed replacing, horns were weak, frame cover held on with tie strap, chain cover cracked, and the list goes on and on. It was just alot of work just to get it running right, and there were times seriously that I was almost ready to give up on it. But you'd never think any of that looking at this pic.

Did I say blued pipes and carb problems? air leaks. This bike was a big PIA for me!

This air clean cover probably caused my very lean running condition, I didn't realize it wasn't stock. I also have an modified oil filter cover with two oil plug ports and 3 allen screws, it probably had an oil cooler at one time, I wonder if I have a big bore kit in it also as this bike makes me light headed when I accelerate through the gears wide open throttle, maybe it's just me, but it is fast.

                      After:
I replaced the 85mph gauge cluster with the 140mph speedo gauge cluster, added a luggage rack, and replaced the missing exhaust cover plates, new chain, battery, rebuilt carbs, air box boots, oil pressure sending unit, battery, new turn signal control unit and light relay control unit, etc. etc. etc. and took care of all those other bugs and gremlins. Honestly though, if I had it to do all over again, I wouldn't.
But now it's just a fun bike to ride. I think I'll ride it today! I've earned the right!

Some of these bikes are pefection, such attention to detail.

Don't say can't, as anything is possible with time and effort, but, if you don't have time things get tougher and require more effort.

                              Ok, since you're asking...
I had it sitting in the shed for a couple of years before I even started the engine to see what I had. This is after I had started tinkering seized brakes, forks, pipes, ect which turned out to be a full blown stripdown.

This was taken today, the jury is still out on the white seat, but I still have the spanking stock seat.

And just for interest with the stock seat. Which is the most comfortable bike seat in the known universe, and as combat 850 says the giuliari is like sitting on a brick.

That is a STUNNING bike. Love the chrome frame. Def prefer the stock seat.
