That is the almost finished product. I still have to rebuild the forks, i went with racetech springs, emulators and fork oil, I have new head bearings and seals, will paint the front end black. I bought a fork brace and its getting Powder coated white. It runs great. APE pods, V+H 4-1, dyno jet stage 3, 165 mains, stock pilots, needle two spots down from top with two small washers above the spring. I also need to replace the plug wires. Rear progressive shocks are great, brakes are rebuilt and ss lines new front master, rebuilt rear. Stops great. I am running shinko 712s and I seem to like them so far. I put on a Koso digital speedo/tach and got everything working great.

only issue right now is the #3 isnt getting as hot, it pulls great, no pops, idle is nice around 1200 but it does hang, I have new o rings for the carbs and boots, might need new boots but I am trying O rings first. Mains might be a pinch big, slight bog at wide open, very minimal, need to ride more and figure out if #3 is the reason. All in all it turned out great.

Thanks for the info from here.

Oh, and led tail and headlight - I think the headlight is adv monster and its great, plug and play and is brighter than stock and a nice modern color.

Looks good, nothing wrong with a bar hopper, scalded dog runner.

What did you do under your seat? My 78 1000 has a fender under the seat & the seat itself is curved too. Does the rear wheel really come up that high? I want to go with a flat seat too, more the Brat Style, but flat none the less.

I know you said your rear tires were 130/90, but what size are your fronts? Are they oversized as well? The reason I ask is that I like the look of a slightly wider tire and would like to do the same on my '79 GS550. I was just trying to get a feel for what options I have when get around to replacing them.
