    Garden gnomes

Ever wondered why you keep getting crap in your carby's, I have found out the garden gnomes have built a nest in the top channel of my GS850 airbox. The channel is directly under the return tube on top of the airbox, and is about a 1/4" deep.
After getting the bike back from the mechanic, it constantly ran out of tune and felt like it was sucking air all the time. I had a faint suspicion it might be the airbox again.
So a quick rip out and there were rust flakes in the top chamber, and I put a S/S welding rod down the channel, whoa. Dirt and rust kept coming out until I had a respectable pile on the work bench top, so I switched to an old hacksaw blade and it kept coming. After an half hour it "seems" to be all out, so I've let it soak in rust dissolving liquid and tomorrow I'll go to my mates workshop and run a soda blaster though it.

Working...
