$16,500....not even close, $22,500, nope not close either, unless he is charging less tha $50/hr.

I just did a full restoration on a 81KZ1000J for someone and I know how much that cost. I would say that Kat is closer to $40,000. There is probably close to 3-350 hrs of work to complete, plus parts.

Darren, I was just talking to Dave Lind the other day and he told me to check out your stuff. All I can say is beautiful job.
Tank looks like wrap with real carbon then cleared.
    Cheers
1978 Gs1085 compliments of Popy Yosh, Bandit 1200 wheels and front end, VM33 Smoothbores, Yosh exhaust, braced frame, ported polished head
1983 Gs1100ESD, rebuild finished! Body paintwork happening winter 2017:D

I would rather trust my bike to a technician that reads the service manual than some backyardigan that THINKS HE KNOWS how to fix things.

      Beautiful.
My guess for this showcase Bob/Drew is $23456 (labor costs could drive it way north of that) some custom/specialty shops charge brutal coin

      Now my 2¢
Are those the original clocks ?
And I might have opted for a shiny black low profile front brake reservoir.
Wasn't crazy at first about the wheel reflectors, but they grew on me, sorta like em now.
Might pop off the Xtreme badge
Might match the K&N filter, for symmetry's sake with another
And if it were in my garage, I would, I swear
      lol
Not sure what I think about the exhaust set up...
      I wanna hear it.
      I wanna ride it.

Saw this linked over at OSS. Several posters used it as a vehicle to disrespect GSR. I think they were upset that Db would post it here instead of there.

Apparently on OSS GSR = Gurl's Blouse. Not sure what that slight means although the interweb says it's UK slang for whimpy.

Not trying to stir things up............... but I gladly would Tuesday if someone gave me a hamburger today.

I figured the OSS poster was referring to Instagram which is where I first saw it, even before it was posted on OSS or here.

Beautiful bike, but one thing I can't not notice is the front turn signals.
I've have the same signals on my beater, seems an odd place to put them.
Didn't want to say anything negative, due the exceptional build quality otherwise.
            GS\'s since 1982: 55OMZ, 550ES, 750ET, (2) 1100ET\'s, 1100S, 1150ES. Current ride is an 83 Katana. Wifes bike is an 84 GS 1150ES

........ unlike almost every 82 Katana that had them there?

why the crappy cheap turnsignals? Would look soooooo much better without any. Otherwise, Very nice......

Other than the horn, this is really fning sweet. How does it drive? Kat's are made to prowl and not in a straight line. And Suzuki wont reintroduce these because?......

It rides quite nicely. Very flickable and still quite stable at speed. Brakes are nothing short of incredible and the motor pulls from the bottom like a freight train. Old bike looks, new bike handling with old school torque. Here’s your cake, and eat it too.

So you're the lucky sod who gets to own and ride this? Definitely jealous... but in a good way

Glad to hear she's a good rider as well as a good looker!
