My old dragbike still rockin it

The guy who ended up with my old kpm small tire gs sent me a message today and finally made some passes. He's 175 and ran a 1.27 short with a 9.17 shifting it at 8500. Real nice guy and extremely happy with the bike. Bike looks great in red too.

    9.1?

So if that were corrected (altitude, etc.) it might be in the eights. Not too shabby.

2016 XL883L sigpic Two-tone blue and white. Almost 42 hp! Status: destroyed, now owned by the insurance company. The hole in my memory starts an hour before the accident and ends 24 hours after.

only 138. Bike always ran 140 plus but he was shifting at 85 so that may have made the diff.

Well don't just leave it at that. We want to know the goodies like what's the motor build. Nice looking bike I like the red also.

Yup...I sure miss making passes on that bike...

I know it needed a repaint, but I do miss the old KPM paint job....

It's a mild low compression 1260 with a slider and a good head. Works great with old 33 smooth bores and spoke wheels. Tranny is 123 auto and as stayed was built by KPM. Great bike

The kid has only made 4 passes on it and has equaled my best already. His dad figures it will go 8, s with him on board
