I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

    Clutch Rod Removal on a 1980 GS450L

Thats the part! It looks big but thats the clutch rod seal. I actually just bought the 09283-06002 flange seal thanks to you puting it in here. Not sure how I am gonna get it in there as I had to battle like crazy to get the other one out but 09283-06002 is identical to what I pulled out.

    Clutch Rod Removal on a 1980 GS450L

I got the seal out. It definitely has a flange on it that was keeping locked into that groove. I havent seen a part in any diagrams for a replacement so I am planning to just press a rubber seal in there. Anyone think this is a bad idea?

GS400 clutch rod seal and cam chain noise.

I am having many issues getting my clutch rod seal out on my 1980 GS450L ... after reading this I starting to think my model requires splitting the cases. Is there potentially anyway to do this with out splitting them?

    Clutch Rod Removal on a 1980 GS450L

Also it seems like the seal is metal coated in rubber however I have now stripped all the rubber off...

    Clutch Rod Removal on a 1980 GS450L

Hello All, I am in the middle of trying to replace the seals that go around my clutch rod and the shifter shaft. (Both left side of the bike near the drive gear). I am unable to get the seal out from around the clutch rod. I had read somewhere if you remove the rod, removing the seal gets a lot...

    Float bowl levels

The manual attached says it’s 26.6 + / - 1 but the Clymer manual I bought says “The correct float level for all models is 25.6 - 27.6. The correct float level for all 450 models is 21.4 - 23.4” I’m going to set them at 26mm but confusing why it had a 450 spec and it’s wrong hah Thank you so...

    Float bowl levels

I am currently setting my float bowl levels for a ‘80 GS450 and the manual says between 21.4 - 23.4mm but when I set it to that spec the float is essentially resting itself on the carb. Allowing no travel to shut off gas flow. It seems wrong. I’m curious if anyone knows whether this is normal or...
