A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Talk me into/or out of buying a Triumph Tiger

Rich, I have a Tiger 800 XRT road model and I like it a lot. Mine is equipped with heated seats, heated grips, ABS, cruise control and more. Different mode settings also. I've been off road with it but the XC is the more off road model. I like the agility of it and although a taller model...

Honda ST 1100 in the garage

I must have been lucky with mine as it never had any electrical problems. Charging was always good and battery life was good. Agreed on the seat. Mine was aftermarket also.

FREE 03 Kawasaki Voyager XII: worth the (potential) hassle?

At the very least, if you decide to ride this bike home, be sure to check the date codes on the tires. I recently heard of a guy that had a newly purchased bike blow out the rear tire and he was 300 miles from home. He is now bike-less.

FREE 03 Kawasaki Voyager XII: worth the (potential) hassle?

Not the best idea you've had lately (IMHO). When I bought my 79 1000E off of fleabag I was considering doing the same thing. I foolishly asked the seller if he was confident it would make the trip from St. Louis to Omaha and his response was "I don't know, I've never had it that far". That...

t Didn't check it that close under 40 mph, but 60=52, 70=62,80=72 and yes 100 only equates to 90. edit: 100 equals 92.

    gs 1000 tachometer gear delete

My tachometer is ok, the thing I'd like to be able to fix is the speedometer. It reads 8 mph higher than the bike is actually moving. Sorry if this is considered threadjacking.

    Polaris SH775 Opinions??

Yeah, up until the sh 232 dies after only 10+ years of ownership. Then it's time for the sh775 Of course this is a tongue in cheek response. Shortly after my purchase of my 79 1000, I bought one of those Honda regulators from duaneage. Straight forward swap and worked quite well most of two...

    Stator, The GSR travelling mascot.

This is coming from my son, NOT ME. And I quote "you must be using a crappy android phone. Throw it away and get the ONLY phone to carry, an apple Iphone". Blah, blah, blah. And oh by the way, I carry an android phone also. But, when necessary, I am forced to use a PC that seems to reach all...

Honda ST 1100 in the garage

I developed a love/hate relationship with mine. I loved the fact that you never have to do anything to it, but the hate part came when I had to remove all that tupperware and then once when I had to remove the throttle bodies to access the coolant lines. Mine developed a leak and of course...
