A Special Note about Email accounts!

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
But bonneville also takes anywhere from 15% to 25% more h.p. depending on the condition of the salt to get the same speeds as you would on a hard solid surface. Bonneville can be best described as triding on surf packed beach sand. Take the same cycle and put it on a solid concrete straightaway and you will see a LOT better numbers. Also gearing, gearing and gearing make a difference. I've seen a 100mph on a stock yamaha 400 twin once i changed the rear sprocket to a 30 instead of 36. I've had my stock 78 1000 up to 130 mph verifeied by gps, not stock speedoMy friend on his ninja 250 was holding 95mph, /quote]
bonneville speed record on a ninja 250 is 110 - that is a $12,000 stock appearing speed demon.
once again I say get a stopwatch and mile markers to get a better idea of how fast you are really going.
M/C speedos are BIG FAT LIARS
being from canada its in kilometers my 78 gs 1000 tops out at 245 and the 1150 is at 250 with a bit more to go . the 1000 has a bunch of yoshi parts and the 1150 is stock.
I went 197 on radar on a GSXR I built for a customer. It was on all 3 radar guns that said 197! So, I guess I am in the 3 mile a minute club! Ray.now for the 3 mile a minute club is there one here? I have never asked.
I backed off my 08 FZ1 at 159 at about 10,000....lets just say I ran out of balls long before it did.
