Thanks for that link. Do you recall what the seal size is and what did you fill it with?

A Special Note about Email accounts!

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

To GS1150Pilot, when changing the final drive gear oil, make darn sure to inspect the magnetic piece in the drain plug. DAMHIK, but BMW was famous for not making sure the shimming process was properly done. The ones that fail were mostly shimmed too tight. The guy that overhauled mine claims he has rebuilt over 150 of them.
Inspect that drain plug to watch for any metallic pieces as that can spell disaster. If you would like, I can post pictures of what they can look like when they fail.
Not fun.
Anyway, have fun with yours and good luck.
We have MAX BMW in New Milford, Connecticut, one of the best BMW dealerships in the country. Heluva nice guy too.![]()
It's always about relationships in all walks of life.
Great score Mason! Wishing miles of smiles.
I agree with Eli69.
You're gonna laugh: I gave the R1100R to my brother and am now eyeing a K1200 to replace the Harley.
Yep, I'm finding nice ones for $3500-4500. I am, however, holding on to sanity by also looking at FJRs and ST1300s.
Every time I think I will sell the Sportster, which has a lot of work in its suspension and even more in its motor, I ride it and fall in love with the beast again. There is a visceral quality to an Evo motor that ticks a box for me in a way no other motor has. So ... I'm gearing up to do a Hammer Performance 1275 big bore and have the heads ported. I'll also be upgrading the brakes beyond the stainless lines and EBC pads I've done so far.
I thought the bore was already enlarged? How about reminding us of the mods, and details about the next mods. And above all, we need pics...maybe even a 'walk around, start up' video.
