If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

Just for fun tonight I was running some numbers on how much I'd spent on this bike. For a while I didn't really want to know because I thought I'd put too much into it. But I think I'm doing alright so far.

Up until tonight I was just over $1000 including purchase price. And just ordered tires to add another $265 to that. Haven't decided if that counts as its just maintenance of owning a bike. :)

Hopefully more work tomorrow. Got in a new rear set for the shifter side which allows me to mount the shifter right to the peg instead of individually. I think its going to work better.

I'll give you $1500 for it!

Bruce.

Got the shifter side all dialed in with the new peg/bracket. Had to add another plate since this set puts the peg a lot closer without the second bracket. Will either make a new 1 piece plate or weld the two together when removed for painting.

Well I hadn't planned to wire and get it running tonight but thats what happened. Cell phone quality video will have to do. Will replace with hopefully a better video when I take my camera.

When did you come to my house and steal my "garage" pants (as my wife calls my jeans full of holes)?

Bruce.

haha. Love em. Comes from wiping paint sticks, welding, grinding, and sanding. Should do the trick. :)

Front brake is ok for now. Just using the single sided one from my 77 because it mounted up correctly. Currently bidding on some kawi twin pot brakes to upgrade the front end. Also took my rear caliper apart and got it working. Think I need to rebuild the gixxer master cylinder so for now I put my old one back on. It worked fine last year and is currently working now until I get the other one rebuilt. Edit: dont mind the zip tie. Gotta keep it upright until I get the mount made. :)

No pictures tonight, but pretty excited I won a pair of twinpot calipers off ebay for an 89 ninja for $60 shipped. Shipping always kills to Canada. otherwise would have been a smokin deal. Looks like I might try to use my front and rear discs off of my 77 750 for now as they are the 295mm size. Assuming the rear one will also bolt to my front wheel. Cant wait to feel the upgrade in brakes.

Great find on the calipers! This bike looks SO good, unique, and ****ed off! The exhaust is what really does it for me.

Can't wait til mine's ready to ride :)

Yeah i need to wrap up a few things and will be riding soon hopefully. streets are still pretty sandy so the longer I hold out on getting it completely finished, probably safer.

Some signals on now, A bit bulky on the back but will have to do for now. Kind of has a retro look though.

Well it keeps teasing about springtime, then it snows again. So I put my winter tires on. :)

Actually I just threw them on to keep it a roller until i get my new tires and get them mounted. Also welded on some brackets to mount passenger pegs. That was about the extent of my day.

BTW, I'd be real proud to take out for a spin. She's a beaut.

KNOBBIES FOR THE WIN!!!!! Didn't know you were making a hill-climber out of her! Hahaha...

Got some goodies today. Hopefully get them mounted soon. And I am so close to riding then.

It was kind of an exciting evening. Got the wheels with the new tires back on the bike. Was ripping up and down the street out front of the shop when the master link came undone. So I pushed the bike back to the shop which was only about a block. Got my other master link and had it ready to go again. Took off for the gas station but didn't quite have enough gas to make it. So I had to push the bike again. But overall I made it home after that with no problems and it feels pretty solid. Pretty excited overall.

Sooo many bikes on the road today in Edmonton...
I had a group of about 50 HA's ride by my office window today.
Then on the drive home I saw about 20 bikes on the road.
It was almost like today was the official day to bring out the bikes.

Bruce.
