A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

What? A car takes priority over a bike  Where's your head at man? :p

And yes, I'm uploading pic's...

Lol, my car just isnt a car though, Its a Kingswood!! I've had it for about 8 years, been in the family since 1979, its a bare shell at the moment.
Pics here http://gallery.oldholden.com/TUFF

Shes my baby alot of sentimental value. Once its back together there will be heaps of room.

Mate why didn't you say so???!!! You shouldn't say "car", you should say "Kingswood"... :p

In that case it's perfectly acceptable :D

I wanted my first car to be my dad's old HK but he went and sold it before I got my license dammit...

The bike got towed to and from Tranzac by WB utes, one with a modern 5L V8 that broke down today, one with a Chevvy 350 in it... man both of those things were sweet as!

Yeah i love my Kingswoods, i've had Toranas as well best was my V8 hatchback. I'm restoring the Kingswood to Original.

Hey what paint did you use on your frame?

I only like old Holdens, anything more modern than about late '70's you can keep, Commodores onwards just suck. I like some of the old Fords too... but I don't know the Ford models so no idea what they actually are

Stock Kingswood hey? That should be nice when you're done! A guy at work has a reasonably well done EH wagon, nice looking machine...

My frame, swingarm, wheels, fork lowers, engine brackets, side and centre stand and headlight ears were all done with POR 15 Blackcote. I'll be doing the tail light bracket and possible the exhaust mounting bracket with the same stuff as I've still got some left over. I brushed it on too rather than spraying as it's self levelling paint.

hmmmm can you pm me what it cost you? I reaaaallllyyy want to paint the frame while the engines out if money permits, but with the weather how it is at the moment i havent been working.

Mate no need to PM, $64.00 for 475mL which should be way more than you need to paint the frame and swingarm.

You can buy it online or there are a bunch of resellers in NSW as well.

I'm sure you can do it! Only 1184 replies and 19081 views at the moment... ;)

Cylinder Head cover showed up today, going to put the engine back in the frame tomorrow without repainting it as i have to get it running, bit of a bummer not to repaint it while its out but i need wheels.

Awesome and bummer all at the same time

But if you need wheels, you need wheels... it's even better when those wheels have a motor to shuffle them along :p

Engines back in, just have to put the clutch cable back on and the throttle cable, then the tank etc, i'll be happy for it just to run!

Mate I hear ya! I'll be happy if I get to hear mine run in 3 weeks... ooh, just less than 3 weeks now...

Its running, but isnt quite right. I had to push start it again and if i give it a boot full it coughs and splutters so i will have to check for air leaks and maybe adjust the fuel intake

Rechecked the valves?

Otherwise yeah... intake would be my first visit...

Glad to hear it's running again though :D

Yeah valves are ok, checked them just to be sure before i put the cover on who knows whats it problem is but i can tell you one thing it was bloody hauling arse!!!!

setup some wicked garage lighting yesterday afternoon so i can see what i'm doing now! Also have the left over cable so i could put more lights in if need be.

Might have a play on the bike tonight it has a starting issue, the starter relay buzzes and the starter motor will slowly turn with a whine / squeel so i think either the battery is close to flat or it has another issue. Push starting it is being a bugger, glad its only a 250!

Flat battery would make sense... specially as it used to start just fine and dandy...

Come on hurry up will ya? :p

Well.... its got more issues,

Indicators & horn will only work below 2000rpm and when the horn does work its not very well, previously had no problems with the horn or blinkers.

Battery is charging at 8.5v, before i took the engine out the battery was perfect. All earth wires are connected.

And now the battery isnt even turning the starter or making the starter relay click at all.

My money is on something with the wiring, maybe taking the engine out broke some wires or something as the bike is running with a slight miss in it every few revolutions..... i'm over it.... i am realllllllllllly not wanting to rewire the whole thing!!!
