so im chasing wiring gremlins again...
a few years back, my headlight was going out, so i ran couple ground wires directly from the battery to the R/R and the starter solenoid, solved the problem for a while. now im back with the same problem plus my battery is getting overcharged 20+volt at 4k rpm and it killed a brand new battery within 4 -5 months and now it will not hold charge.
Ive tested my stator, it tested 1.1 1.2 1.3 on resistance, 60v at 4k rpm and up with rpm increase, no resistance to ground. basically it passed.
Is all of this pointing to a failed R/R? How do i test it? Also is there a DIY for a new one?
btw, it looks like im still running the original stator
thanks guys
