A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Looks like I'm going to come the full 360 on this and go black with white:eek:

Put to much effort and time into the red so it's staying, maybe.
Actually pulled her out of the shed and did some work today. The wires to the Martek where NFG so I rewired it after months of thinking about it:-\\\ Not quite finished as the wind was cold.

Was planning to finish up the ignition wiring when I noticed this.

Wires to the instrument cluster are fried to.What the heck else can go wrong:cry:Getting to the end of my rope here.

Child's play Greg.

Note the location of the wires in the hard shell connector, remove them from the shell and slide off the protective sleeve. Repair the individual wires by staggering where you splice in new wires so the repair doesn't look too bulky. Slide the covering back over the wires by tying a string to the wire bundle and feeding it through the sleeve. Reinstall the terminals in their respective locations and your done.

You are right Dale,it's not really that bad.I've had a cold all week with no end in sight and everything just looks worse than it is right now.

After freaking out about this the fix was easy.Just cut the badly burned buts out and used the excess wire to rejoin them.It was burned when the main ground burned up not something in these wires themselves which is what I was thinking.

Got the paint recleared with the 2K in a can. Defiantly prefer the to using a gun, just can't seem to get the hang of that:stupid:

With all the work to do on the wife's truck and getting the http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/showthread.php?218554-Project-82-GPz750&highlight= ] torn down and upkeep on http://www.thegsresources.com/_foru...60-Project-Old-Yeller-on-the-road&highlight=I haven't had much time for the 1000.But in the last few weeks I have been tinkering away at it and I got last few electric things sorted. So today I though on the nearly dean battery with just enough power to make sure things worked without melting down the wiring.Thought that battery had really kicked the bucket but it turns out there wasn't a main fuse. That put in the first thing I hear is a buzzing noise from the turn signal relay,I'll figure that out later.Checked out the new horn wiring and that was not working either:confused:OK that's on the list to.Starter as expected didn't do much but it did try and didn't burn up my "new" harness either:welcoming:So in went the new battery from the 750.Now that turned the engine over strong!Checked the spark and it's there.Head and taillights work.Think the problems with the horn and signals have something to do with the lower left side control pod.

Got the it mocked up today with the polishing done.Going to try a start up soon.

Got this Emgo Viper I want to use. Will have to lose the lower triple cover and get a different wider bar if I want to use it though. Will fix the PO mods and paint it to match if I use it.

Got the badges on and the seat finished to:dancing:

Picking up the new battery today:dancing:Looked into the petcock,it seems it was in better shape than I thought.Threw it in the ultrasonic to clean it out.Did it need it!Really happy I can use the original petcock.Ordered a new "O" ring for it from the local dealer and was shocked,it was only $8:eek:Hoping to try a start up this weekend.
