All new forum registrations must be activated via email before you have full access to the forum.

A Special Note about Email accounts!
DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

I just got back from the hospitol, and my GS is a bit messed up. Me, I have some scrapes, and a dislocated shoulder and seperated tendon/clavacle issue. But, the bikes Messed up .
The short story, going around a 'roundabout' at like 10mph(maybe) and there was a pot-hole and then I was on the ground. The bike (80 gs1100et) hit the curb with the front wheel while flat and twisted the front fork. I was able to ride it home. The front wheel didnt wobble at all, but the handle bars are aiming about 45 degrees the wrong way. Is there some amount of play in the fork connectors at the tree that loosening them it could straighten out?
I will try to get some pics posted of the carnage tomorrow....

As Dr Smith would say,,, "Oh the Pain...."

Sorry about your pain, crashing always sucks. As for the forks, sometimes you get lucky and all that happens is that they get twisted in the triple clamps and are not actually bent fork tubes. Loosen everything including the fender and see if you can realign the forks.

You're still with us ,so not such a bad day old mate.Get well soon.Cheers,Simon.;)

Ouch!

Ouch!

Hi Mr. morpheus666,

I'm so sorry to hear of your rotten luck. But we are blessed to have you still with us. "Any landing you can walk away from..."

I'll pray that you heal quickly and your bike gets repaired too. :)

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

Thanks for the comments. As soon as I am not so sore, I will loosen up the tree and see if it is ok. Here are some pics of the twisted fork.
There are more in my album. http://www.thegsresources.com/_forum/album.php?albumid=58

Man that sucks big time:mad::mad:

Good to hear you are realatively ok. Hopefully the bike is not too bent. It doesn't look too bad but you never know.

Once you get yourself moving with out pain you can have a good look at it and hopefully get it sorted without too much stress & cost.

I'm thinking good thoughts for you.

Heal up soon.

Cheers,
Spyug
