After making sure I had spark at the plug and good compression in the cylinder, I pulled apart the carbs on my 1983 GS1100E to see if they were the reason I was running on 3 cylinders at idle. Here's what I found:
Not bad, right? Nothing gunked up, no o-rings damaged, and only one semi-clogged hole in one of the main jets (not the one giving me problems). I carefully inspected as I went and let everything soak overnight before blowing it out and re-installing the next day. Started it up and exactly the same problem: Runs on 3 cylinders at idle, then springs to life with a little throttle.
Airbox is tight and all boots are nice and soft and tight.
Any ideas?
Here's my pic since I know you all like pictures and the thread link in my signature seems to have been deleted.
