DO NOT SIGN UP USING hotmail, outlook, gmx, sbcglobal, att, bellsouth or email.com. They delete our forum signup emails.

A note to old forum members...
I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.

Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.

Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...

  • Returning Visitors

If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.

If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.

Great stuff Simon, glad to see some progress!

How long 'til she's done do you reckon?

Once she is you'll need to get out with us on a Saturday morning ride and the next big ride will be Sunday 1st June...

Hi pete

Yes slowly goes unfortunatley.
Took her for a spin up the road today ! Was glad to see the clutch hadnt bound as i expected. ! another thing off the list

Question about your battery ...did you ever go a slimmer battery??

I have an antigravity i am trying to fit and would love anybodies experience in this...:-k

As for the SS bolt kit. I bought one for my 850 and got way more than I needed. Couldn't believe the price. If I had to buy them all separately they would have cost me 50x more. Z1 also ships abroad and on the lading bill they list it as old motorcycle parts. I have never had to pay duties or taxes on anything I ordered from them up here in Canada. Seems they have international shipping down to a fine art. Either that or the customs agent is a biker.

She sounds good Simon! Glad to see you could at least take her for a quick spin... but no seat and no footpegs... ouch!

As for the battery, I just went with a Motobatt, same size as stock so no help there I'm afraid...

hey simon, do you have any pics of how you mounted the speedo? i'm thinking of different ways to do mine....

Mini Speedo mount

hey simon, do you have any pics of how you mounted the speedo? i'm thinking of different ways to do mine....

Growler there are 2 mount holes on your triple tree, originally for the big boofy speedo cluster.
I used the left one to put a bolt through for my mini speedo thus:

nice and clean, love it.

i am looking into a brat seat, but the kick up being a greater angle. or moving that rear cowl forward, chopping 6-8 inches off. something that will be comfortable on longer rides and give me a little back support. let us know if that seat is comfortable enough for you. :)
