Okay so planning out the budget for the remainder of the project to hopefully get this bike up and running by May. Really want to get ride of the big nasty stock cluster and clean up the front end a bit. Have been looking into the mini gauges but was looking more for a singe do it all guage that would work (Require MPH, Tach, and Fuel Guage). I will be doing my own searches, was wondering if peeps could post what they have done to give their guage area a minimalistic look.

Here is one form a "1967 Honda cb77 Superhawk" No fuel guage but small, simple and looks neat.

Still missing that fuel guage though.

That's a real neat unit above! I wonder where you could score one of those? My problem is finding an ADR approved one, which is a problem the Acewell solves. Oh, that Acewell has a fuel gauge I believe...

I.m searching a cb77 dash for another project.
The one on the picture is an early type.
these go for around 100-250$ on ebay.
I have this gauge on my gs1000.
it have RPM, speedo, idiot lights and maybe a fuel gauge, i dont remember.
Look for a genuine Acewell, the chinese copy are garbage

That looks pretty cool, and yes I've heard the knock-offs are garbage also.

My only concern with the Acewell is if the extra stainless steel bracket they sell to mount it to the handle bar clamps will allow room for the ignition switch.

What about one of those pieces that Mindless has on his bike, and a few others here on the board.
The have a few models, from reasonable to stupid expensive, I forget the name now, and too lazy to search, trail something or another I think....go check his build thread.

Trail tech?

Uncle Mike did a little looking around and found this little gem at the Trail Tech site. No gas guage but its all black and has everything else you could need and it is smallish too. Now if it has back light for night riding I am set.

Rescue from TN, so not 100%. We always guessed Shepherd mixed with Aussie cattle dog?

I like the Trail Tech Vapor (pic attached, and see my albums). it has everything but a fuel gauge, which I don't think you'll find, anyhow. Costs about $175 as pictured. Info at trailtech.net.

This thing is small enough to be mounted on, or inset into, the headlight bucket.

The trail tech said something about an optional fuel guage also. But your Acewell definitely is designed for it considering it gives you three settings for the various fuel meters out there. I don't have to worry about inspections on my guages. I just have to have lights, blinkers, good brakes, tag light, and then they check to see if your wheels are secure. So I can get away with that guage here. If the Acewell came in Black it would just about be a done deal. Need to do some search into the trail tech and its fuel guage option or see if the Acewell comes in black. trying to keep with my color theme. Originally wanted a guage that looks more like a traditional guage but I think that as small as these two are they would not be very noticable from any other angle than from the riding position. Keep em coming guys maybe this thread will help someone else who is looking for different guages.

Okay after looking at ChicagoBob's photo album I am about sould on these little digital guages. They are almost non existant visually on the bike giving it a very minimalistic look which is what I am going for. I like the Acewell because it does come with an optional fuel guage, and to someone as forgetful as I am, it is nice to have something easily visible that I can make sure I have enough gas to get where I am going.

Wow, those are cool but a bit pricey. I really like that CB77 gauge. Classic and stylish.
