I receive numerous requests from people who can no longer log in because their accounts were deleted. As mentioned in the forum FAQ, user accounts are deleted if you haven't logged in for the past 6 months. If you can't log in, then create a new forum account. If you don't get an error message, then check your email account for an activation message. If you get a message stating that the email address is already in use, then your account still exists so follow the instructions in the forum FAQ for resetting your password.
Have you forgotten your password or have a new email address? Then read the forum FAQ for details on how to reset it.
Any email requests for "can't log in anymore" problems or "lost my password" problems will be deleted. Read the forum FAQ and follow the instructions there - that's what we have one for...
If you are a returning visitor who never received your confirmation email, then odds are your email provider is blockinig emails from our server. The only thing that can be done to get around this is you will have to try creating another forum account using an email address from another domain.
If you are a returning visitor to the forum and can't log in using your old forum name and password but used to be able to then chances are your account is deleted. Purges of the databases are done regularly. You will have to create a new forum account and you should be all set.
I would suggest you buy a Carbtune set-up. It will pay for itself after you've use it once or twice and it will last forever if you're careful. It's easy to use, kind of fun and will give you a great deal of satisfaction over and over.
I liked my Carbtune so much that I went out and bought another bike I could use it on!\\/
No, they are not. The gauges for $50 will work, but they are a bit of work. The Motion Pro gauge that is also available at Z1 (for $85) is a much better gauge set.Is the one that Z1 offers for $50.00 and the carbtune set up mentioned here the same?
The Carbtune is available from ... well ... Carbtune. The cost is 58 UK Pounds. Depending on current currency exchange, that's about $113.71.If not who offers the carbtune, ...
If you get the Motion Pro gauge from Z1, the adapters are included. If you want the ultimate in ease, the permanent adapters are nice. With them, you only have to remove the rubber cover and slip on the vacuum hose for the gauge. With the 'normal' adapters, you have to thread them in and out on a warm engine, which can, at times, be painful.... what adapters are needed(Z1 offers 3 sets).
My suggestion would be to purchace a set of carb sync gauges, perhaps from here
www.z1enterprises.com
And do it yourself, as you're going to pay prolly that if not more to have it done. This way, you save some money, not just now, but forever. Just a thought tho...
Torrance? Isn't that where Joss Whedon blew up the high school?
Rob, did you get the PM I sent you? I live 3 blocks from Disneyland & will help you out whenever you are ready. Ray.Thanks man, im thinkin i just might do that, although I do have a pretty good manual for the bike, is it a somewhat easy job?
????:?:?:?
But I'm thinking I'll give Mr. Nessism, Mr. chef1366, or Mr. rapidray a shout and ride over there sometime when my carbs need it. I can supply the barley pop.
Thank you for your indulgence,

Mr. BassCliff, you are welcome in my garage ANY time & the flavor of choice would be Newcastle! Ray.Mr. Rob Arther,
I spoke to a guy a few months ago who used to be a service manager for a couple of bike dealerships. He loves the old UJMs. He calls himself "The Bike Whisperer" and works in north OC, Fullerton area. He seemed real and asked the right questions when I talked to him about my carbs, but I haven't used him yet. If you'd like to give him a call, his name is Jim, shoot me a PM and I'll give you his phone number.
